Internships are a great way to get on-the-job experience, learn job skills, grow your network, and learn more about a career path and company. Yet a key part of landing an internship is making sure you know the right internship deadlines and open dates — and each company has its own way of doing things.
For example, many companies have rolling deadlines, which means that they review applications as they come in — and often stop reviewing once they’ve filled the position. The earlier you apply, the earlier your application is reviewed. If a company has a rolling deadline, it is crucial to apply as close to the open date as possible to increase your chances of getting hired.
