Welcome to our program! GE Aerospace is thrilled to offer you a glimpse into the challenges we face and the collaborative teams that overcome them.
During this program, you will have the opportunity to step into the shoes of a GE supply chain engineer and complete tasks that replicate the work that our team in the manufacturing shops do every day. You’ll learn key skills in interpreting engineering data, contributing to the manufacturing environment, and accountability. Students who enjoy this program are encouraged to apply for GE Aerospace's Supply Chain intern opportunities or development programs (MEDP & OMLP). Utilize engineering data in order to specify applicability, capacity, and size requirementsWhat you'll learn
- As a member of GE’s shop floor team, develop technical expertise in areas critical to GE's Aerospace supply chain
What you'll do
- Develop a procedure to disassemble a GEnx-1B high bypass turbofan engine core
- Review the drawings for the engine's core to determine the diameters, approximate weights, and the proper location for the fixture
- Answer multiple choice questions covering the critical requirements for a turbofan disassembly fixture
